Leading health transformation consultancy, Conclusio, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Proctor as its first non-executive chairman. Mike retired from his substantive NHS role as chief executive of York Foundation Trust 11 months ago and joins Conclusio from his most recent role as Interim chief operating officer at North Cumbria Trust. He brings 45 years of experience gained within the NHS, half of which were spent in senior executive roles that included chief nurse, chief operating officer, deputy chief executive and chief executive.

The appointment comes at a significant stage in Conclusio’s development, as it grows its presence, and client-base, in the health, social care, pharmaceutical and community pharmacy sectors.

Speaking about Mike’s appointment, Conclusio Managing Director and Founder, James Roach says

“Conclusio prides itself on being a multi-disciplinary group of subject matter experts. Our core team can field decades of experience in the fields of health transformation, service framework development, data and analysis, market access and growth, communications and relationship management and programme management. Mike is the ideal person to provide the support and direction Conclusio needs now as it widens its reach and influence. His background in Secondary Care and Integrated Care Partnerships will be invaluable”

Among Mike’s responsibilities will be sustaining Conclusio’s business ethos of working as an integrator, which has seen it bring partners together where innovation, transformation and collaboration can flourish. Examples of which can be found in its work supporting the development of a Hep C elimination programme in Greater Manchester, the development of a north west of England-wide integrated chronic pulmonary obstructive disease (COPD) service, creating and piloting a service transformation framework for nutrition and hydration, and building a national innovation programme for the National Pharmacy Association. This, and other areas of its support for health and social care organisations and schemes, has placed Conclusio in the vanguard of integrated care service and partnership development nationally.

Responding to his new role, Mike Proctor says

“I’m thrilled to be joining Conclusio, having seen the value the consultancy adds to both clients and the sectors in which it works. This is an ideal time for me and Conclusio. Having retired from the NHS, I’m well placed to support Conclusio’s direction of travel as it continues to expand and I’m really looking forward to working closely with the team”

Over the next 12 months, Conclusio is set to significantly grow its business footprint within market access, market growth, service pathway redesign, public sector contracting, medicines optimisation and product development. A recent addition to its portfolio of services has been supporting health and pharma clients to navigate the new commissioning and service provision dynamics in health and social care brought about as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
